The Pitfield bridges are located in Pierrefonds-Roxboro. They link Boulevard Gouin Ouest and Boulevard Henri-Bourassa Ouest, and border Highway 13 on either side. The bridges span Bertrand Creek.

Find out more about this project.

What?

One lane of traffic on each bridge is open with load restrictions. No overloaded trucks are allowed on the structures.

When?

Removal of the obstructions took place on the night of Tuesday June 11 to Wednesday June 12, and the lanes have been reopened to traffic for the morning rush hour on June 12, 2024.

Where?

Pitfield bridges between Boulevard Gouin and Boulevard Henri-Bourassa.

Why?

A preventive closure of the bridges was recommended on May 31, following a general inspection which highlighted the development of cracks already present on both bridge structures. Inspection work has been carried out over the past few days. The results show that the bridge can safely be partially reopened.

Reinforcement work will be planned by city crews and carried out at a later time.
