Public property occupancy permit for 90 days or more
Will you be occupying public property (such as a street, sidewalk or park) for at least 90 days? You must display certain information about the area of occupancy throughout the duration of the project.
New requirements
Installation of site cladding using the banner and sign templates available in the guide (permits of 90 days or more only)
Occupancy of public property allowed up to 24 hours before the actual start of the project.
Interruption of the project possible for a period of 5 days or more with reasonable justification.
Tubular beacons T-RV-10 used to channel traffic. TR-V7 beacons can be used if a documented analysis demonstrates that they are more appropriate given the environment, traffic flow, visibility and pedestrian and/or bike traffic.
Removal of any temporary signage as soon as the project is completed.
The usual instructions presented in the article “What to do once you receive your public property occupancy permit” must also be followed.
Display installation and maintenance procedures
Please see the “Signage standards guide for private construction sites on public property” (in French) for more details.

- Construction start and end dates
- Name of the client who hired you to carry out the project
- Name of the person or company performing the project
- Phone number or contact e-mail address, the event of a request for information or a complaint
