Infrastructure work on Rue D’Iberville, between Rue Jean-Talon and Rue Bélanger, could have an impact on your daily life. Here’s what you need to know.

The work consists of replacing sewer and drinking water lines, redoing the street and sidewalks and changing street lamps. The work has been coordinated with Commission des services électriques de Montréal (CSEM) projects scheduled for the near future to avoid work having to be done several times at the same location.

In order to minimize traffic impacts, there will also be close coordination with the Société de transport de Montréal team that is carrying out work at the D’Iberville metro station.

When?

Until 2023.

Where?

On Rue D’Iberville, between Rue Jean-Talon and Rue Bélanger. Follow the work notices to plan your trips.

What?

  • Removal of asphalt and foundations, excavation
  • Replacement of sewer and water lines
  • Redoing of street and sidewalks
  • Construction of conduit duct banks and reconstruction of accessways (CSEM)
  • Work on lighting and traffic signals

Why?

Since the sewer and water lines have reached the end of their useful life, they have to be replaced to avoid the chance of breakages and leaks.

We will be taking advantage of this work to also replace lead water service lines.
