Conférence scientifique: L’Arctique, bande-annonce du climat?
How is the Arctic changing? What does it tell us about what is to come?
Description
The Arctic is already bearing the brunt of the consequences of climate change. The average temperature in Northern Canada has increased by more than 2 degrees over the past 70 years, three times more than the global average! The scale of the upheavals observed in the far North foreshadows what could happen in the coming decades in our latitudes. How is the Arctic changing? What does it tell us about what is to come?
By Ariane Barrette, doctoral student in the Department of Biology at Laval University in the oceanography program and moderated by Valérie Borde, science journalist.
