Claim a tax credit for vacant land acquired through succession (inheritance)
Did you inherit vacant land after January 1, 2025? You may benefit from a municipal tax credit. Learn what criteria to meet and the procedure to follow to make an application.
You must:
- Have inherited a parcel or a portion of a parcel of land
- Apply for a credit
If the transfer meets legal criteria, the credit may be granted to you for up to 2 years.
Request by e-mail
Submit your request before June 30, 2027.
Include the following documents:
- Tax credit request form
- Declaration of transmission for the land transfer
- A copy of your annual tax bill
