Did you buy a building and the sale wasn’t recorded in the land registry? You must let us know. Find out how.
All new buyers of buildings in Montréal must pay property transfer duties even if the sale is not recorded in the land registry.
You have 90 jours after the sale of the building to advise the city. You will need to complete a disclosure form.
A transfer duties account invoice will be issued by the city.
In addition to the disclosure form, you must provide us with the following documents:
- Copy of the deed of sale
- Copy of the nominee agreement, if applicable
