Request a brown bin

Last updated October 2, 2024

Has your brown bin gone missing? Are you moving and unable to find the bin for your new address? Learn how to get a new bin.

Brown bins are used for the food waste collection in 15 boroughs.

In four other boroughs, Lachine, L’île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève, Pierrefonds-Roxboro and Saint-Laurent, brown bins are used to collect green waste and food waste as part of the organic waste collection.

Brown bins are provided free of charge.

A beige, seven-litre countertop bin is also provided the very first time a brown bin is delivered to an address. Thereafter, no new countertop bins will be provided for this address.
