If your brown bin hasn’t arrived yet, you can bring your vegetable-origin food waste to one of the many community composting sites across the borough.

Registration is required. Priority is given to residents of buildings with nine or more units.

Buildings with access to the food waste collection 

You are eligible for the food waste collection service. To find out when to put out your brown bin, visit Info-collectes.

Buildings without access to the food waste collection

You can bring your leftovers to one of the many community composting sites across the borough. The service is free, but you must register to have access to the composters.

By doing this, you will be helping your borough achieve its zero-waste goal. If you’re interested in learning more about responsible, environmentally friendly practices, register to take part in a workshop (in French).

To access a composter, you must:

• Follow a 15-minute training session about composting
• Pay a $15 fee (for registration, annual payment for repairs and maintenance and key deposit)
