Solar eclipse: activities to enjoy it
A total solar eclipse will be visible from certain areas on Québec, including the island of Montréal, on April 8. Prepare for this unique must-see phenomenon.
Are you looking for the perfect place to enjoy the total eclipse? Go to Parc Jean-Drapeau to see various artists and activities starting at 11 a.m. Up to 150,000 pairs of glasses will be distributed free of charge. To find out more, go to the Planétarium website.

Protect your eyes
During an eclipse, sun rays may permanently damage your eyes. It is important to get adequate glasses to watch the eclipse safely. You may also opt for indirect observation methods as proposed by the Planétarium.

Take your chance to observe this rare phenomenon. The last total solar eclipse seen in Montréal was in 1932. The next one is scheduled for 2205.
