Parc Beaubien baseball field
Both baseball fields are accessible for open practice or recreational use.
Description
Renovations: South ball field and demineralizing parking areas
From mid-August to summer 2024, Parc Beaubien’s south ballfield will be closed for renovations. The field and facilities will be completely refurbished. LED lighting will replace old equipment, new fences will be higher, and the bleachers, marble and ball stop will be replaced by updated structures.
Once renovations are complete, the neighborhood’s residents will be able to enjoy a safe, high-quality facility. In the meantime, the ball field north of Beaubien Park and the baseball diamonds in Parc Sainte-Bernadette are two free alternatives where you can play baseball.
To enhance the greenery around the park and promote biodiversity, the parking area along 6e Avenue will be demineralized and grass will be planted there. Making the neighbourhood greener will enhance residents’ quality of life. On-street parking and car-sharing spaces on 6e Avenue will be maintained.
Occasional permit
Groups that would like to use a field from time to time need to get an occasional permit.
Seasonal permit
This permit gives users exclusive, periodic use (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) of a field for the entire summer season of the outdoor sport.
