The Bleu Blanc Bouge skating rink is a great place to meet people, get some exercise and enjoy other activities.This high quality sports facility helps children and families in Verdun discover the benefits of a healthy and active lifestyle.

Description

New: from May to September, the skating rink is transformed into six pickleball courts. 

Free pickleball

Until November 4

Open to all
Monday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. 
Wednesday: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Friday: 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. 
Saturday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Reserve

To be sure of playing, you can reserve a slot at loisirs.montreal.ca. You’ll be able to join the 30 players registered every hour. 

Conditions of use

  • To reserve your right to play, you must hold a biblio-loisirs card.
  • Reservations are valid for one hour per person.
  • Reservations can be made 3 days in advance, starting at 8 a.m.
  • Please respect your rental time
  • If the maximum number of 30 players has not been reached 10 minutes after the start of the 2nd and/or 3rd block, you may continue to play.
  • You must cancel your reservation if you are unable to attend.

Introductory program

Come and discover pickleball, a racket sport that’s sure to gain in popularity, with this free activity (equipment loan included) on Tuesday evenings from July to August, from 6 to 9 pm. An ideal activity for learning basic rules and techniques for adult, senior and parent-child groups. Powered by Sport et Loisir de l’île de Montréal and made possible by a financial contribution from the Ministère de l’Éducation, in collaboration with Camp Énergie. Free futsal

Activities are free and require no reservation. Organized by Camp Énergie.

From September 11 to October 30.

For children
Monday: 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

For families
Monday: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A rink is also available for free skating.

Equipment loans

You can reserve equipment (helmets, skates, and assists) onsite. You need to show ID if you want to borrow equipment.

Rules to follow

Skaters must:

  • Always follow the rink supervisor’s instructions 
  • Leave the rink immediately if asked by the supervisor 
  • Skate around the rink in the direction indicated by the supervisor during free skating
  • Wear skates when using the rink
  • Use the aids available, during free skating periods (if needed).

It is strongly recommended that: 

  • Children be accompanied by an adult
  • If you fall while skating, get up as quickly as possible if you can
  • You wear a helmet when skating.

It is strictly prohibited to:

  • Use objects other than ice sports accessories on the rink (strollers, sleds, game accessories, balls, etc.)
  • Skate with a pet
  • Drink, eat or smoke on and around the rink
  • Do figure skating moves (e.g. spins or jumps)
  • During free skating, use hockey or any other ice sport accessories (stick, puck, ringette ring, etc.)
  • Stroll around the rink area

Users are responsible for the equipment borrowed from the borough.
The borough is not responsible for any stolen objects.
Schedule and reservation

  • The schedule must be followed.
  • Reservations from schools and organizations always take priority 
  • The rink is maintained regularly depending on the ice and weather conditions.
  • Verdun reserves the right to close the rink at any time without notice.

The Bleu Blanc Bouge rink supervisors are in charge in the park chalet and on the rinks.
They reserve the right to ask anyone who threatens the safety of other users to leave.
