Vague à Guy
Located in Parc des Rapides, between Raymond and Gagné, the access to the eternal wave, nicknamed the Vague à Guy, provides non-motorized water sports enthusiasts a unique way to to enter the Saint-Lawrence River.
Description
In order to preserve shoreline erosion and provide safer access for surfers, kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders, Ville de Montréal has developed trails and various options for accessing the river. Outside of the designated dates (May 15 - October 15), water activities are not permitted at the Vague à Guy.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Ville de Montréal does not supervise this area and cannot be held responsible in the event of an accident.
- Please obey the signs in force. In bad weather, the site may be closed to ensure users’ safety.
Work under way
Period: Until September 2022
Construction of a rest stop (toilet, shower, water fountain, lockers, etc.). Access to Guy’s Wave, the bike path and the pedestrian pathway will be maintained.
