Montréal announces changes to its service offering due to air quality

MONTRÉAL, June 25, 2023 - Due to the high concentration of fine particles (PM2.5) in the air over the city, and in line with the recommendations of the Direction régionale de santé publique, Montréal has closed its outdoor sports facilities and cancelled its outdoor cultural activities until noon on June 26.

Swimming pools and wading pools are particularly affected by this exceptional measure. The situation will be reassessed tomorrow during the day, as it develops. 

City day camps will remain open, but will focus on indoor activities.

Montrealers are asked to stay indoors, where possible.
