Role of the Inspector General

The city’s Inspector General ensures the transparency and integrity of the city in its dealings with the population. Where applicable, it works to:

• eliminate: fraud, waste, corruption, abuse of power 
• monitor the awarding of contracts
• recommend actions vis-à-vis the city 
• promote awareness of the procedures to follow among council members
