Construction in the Boulevard Laurentien and Rue Lachapelle area may have an impact on your daily life, particularly travel. Find out what you need to know.

Work is being done to replace drinking water and sewer mains, rebuild the road and sidewalks and change street lighting.

The construction project is being coordinated with the upcoming work to be done by the Commission des services électriques de Montréal (CSEM) in order to avoid multiple closures of the same site.

Work in progress

The following work on Rue Lachapelle and Rue Périnault to redesign and beautify the area is underway as part of phase 3, which will continue through fall 2023.

The work consists of replacing drinking water and sewer mains, installing traffic lights, burying electrical wires, moving the natural gas line (Énergir), rebuilding underground electrical conduits (CSEM), rebuilding the street, widening the sidewalks, installing granite borders, putting in new street lighting and planting new trees.
