Reading time: 1 min

Are you aged 65 or older? Participate in free book clubs virtually, in the comfort of your home, or in person at your library. Listen to facilitators read exciting books and discuss the book in small groups.

Discover literature in a different way

“De bouche à oreilles” is a social activity around reading. Come and enjoy stories, poems and other texts read by an experienced facilitator and if you like, discuss them with the group. This activity is ideal for anyone who wants to socialize, (re)discover and celebrate literature.

Virtual clubs

Virtual book clubs (in French) meet once a week for five weeks. Each meeting lasts 30 to 60 minutes. You can participate using a home phone or an Internet connection with a smartphone, tablet or computer. Each group is made up of five to 10 people.

Novels, biographies, poetry… groups choose a book based on their interests. The activity leader will contact you a few days before the first reading session to find out what kind of books interest you.

In person book clubs

In person book clubs (in French) are held at the library and last 60 minutes each. Each group is made up of five to ten people who meet five times, either every week or every two weeks.
