Repair work on the damaged watermain in Ville-Marie

Montréal is undertaking repair work on the 84- inch conduit that sustained significant damage on August 16, 2024, in the Centre-Sud are of Ville-Marie borough.

When

From the week of November 3 to December 6, 2024

Where

On Boulevard René-Lévesque, between Rue Parthenais and Avenue De Lorimier.

What

The work will allow for the replacement of a 6-metre segment of the the drinking watermain that has been closed since the event. 

  • Replacement of the defective part. 
  • Renewal of secondary waterworks and sewage pipes. 
  • Renewal of sidewalks. 
  • Street asphalting.

Why

To ensure drinking water supply for the area’s residents and for the population of Montréal’s East End.
