Opening of exhibition Jardins d'anaglyphes - Alexandra Levasseur
Opening of the exhibition Jardins d’anaglyphes with the artist.
Description
Alexandra Levasseur’s exhibition “Jardins d’anaglyphes” is inspired by Philippe Jullian’s 1973 fictional exhibition “Le palais du symbolisme”. Levasseur wanted to recreate a meditative, romantic and poetic atmosphere similar to what imagined Paul Valéry. The project is based on the classic idea of sculpture gardens, places of desire and reflection. The term “anaglyphe” refers to relief sculptures and stereoscopic images. The context of energy transition inspires the artist to explore the links between human figures and natural landscapes, as well as the concepts of material transformation and energy production. Her artistic practice, combining painting, sculpture and animation, is influenced by physics, mythology and dreamlike symbolism. She is interested in biophilia, an innate attraction to nature, and seeks to create a harmonious, contemplative environment.
