Apply for a permit to carry out temporary work causing a discharge of pollutants into the air or of water into a sewer

Is your company planning to carry out occasional work that may emit pollutants into the atmosphere or require a discharge into the sewer, with or without treatment? Before starting the work, you must get a permit and meet certain requirements. Find out everything you need to know.

Apply for a permit

Please complete all sections of the permit application that apply to your temporary project and forward it to the Service de l’environnement. It must be duly completed and digitally signed.

The new form includes all appendices, which were previously separated into five forms.

Types of projects for which you can apply for a permit

  • Discharge of water into the municipal sewer system
  • Projects involving the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere
    • General construction
    • Cleaning, stripping, restoration or surface finishing
    • Crushing
    • Asbestos removal

Guidelines to meet

  • Please provide all the required information so as to avoid any delays in processing your application.
  • Any mailing in paper format or digitized in image format will be refused.

You must receive your permit prior to beginning the work.
