Over the next few months, the main buildings on the targeted properties will be surveyed to obtain the elevation of the ground-floor door sill, the lowest opening and the number and distribution of units. 

The aim of this government-funded operation is to establish precise knowledge of certain building characteristics. This information will help to better equip first responders and land-use planners in the event of an intervention.  

Representatives of the Quebec government or commissioned surveyors will carry out the required assessments. Some of the data will be collected using high-precision surveying equipment. To this end, we are asking for your cooperation in allowing the surveyors access to the back yard of your property. Please note that no activity requires access to your building.
