New Organic Waste Collection in Western Lachine Buildings

Starting November 16, the Borough will collect brown bins from buildings with 9 or more housing units located west of 32e Avenue and south of rue Victoria.

Building managers must make available a wheeled brown bin, provided by the Borough, to enable occupants to dispose of their food waste. Small countertop bins have been provided to people living in buildings that are ready for this new collection.

You haven’t received your countertop bin? Are you a building manager who hasn’t received your wheeled brown bin?  Contact a GRAME information officer, appointed by the Borough to assist with the implementation of this new collection program:

The new organic waste collection program for buildings with 9 or more housing units, as well as schools and commercial, institutional and industrial establishments, will be rolled out in two phases: November 2023 for western Lachine and November 2024 for eastern Lachine.
