Noise awareness campaign in LaSalle parks
With the arrival of warmer weather, the borough of LaSalle is launching a “Think of the neighbours” (Pensez au voisinage) awareness campaign in the parks, reminding us of appropriate civic-minded habits.
Noise is a natural part of our surroundings, but when it’s loud, noise becomes a nuisance. Park users are welcome, but they must simply keep in mind that some excessive noise can disturb the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood, especially in the evening and after dark.
Civic-mindedness in the parks is a shared responsibility
Parks are invaluable in ensuring quality of life for the residents who live nearby. They are also ideal places for generating spontaneous interactions that stimulate social life, but it’s up to everyone to respect the right to have peace and quiet and the well-being of others.
That’s why we urge all park users to be respectful, so that our parks remain safe and peaceful places.
Happy springtime!
