Renovation work on the pedestrian and cycle path in Parc Paquin
The work under way in Parc Paquin, in Pierrefonds-Roxboro, is part of the greening of the Parcours Gouin riverside path, a 15 km pedestrian and bicycle trail in the north end of the Island of Montreal.
This initiative, which came out of the city’s first participatory budget, involves five boroughs through which boulevard Gouin runs. The project has a budget of $3 million, of which $600,000 has been earmarked for improvements to Parc Paquin.
On completion of the work, the park will be equipped with a rest area for cyclists and pedestrians, asphalt and concrete pathways, a picnic area and park furnishings.
The work, which began on September 11, will be completed around October 28, 2024.
