Description

Free swimming

Free swimming sessions are offered to the public by the Plateau-Mont-Royal borough.

Wearing a swimsuit is mandatory for anyone wishing to access the pool and the paddling pool.

Wearing a swim cap is at the discretion of the swimmers. It is not mandatory.

Children aged 7 and under must be accompanied by a person aged 16 and over. Children aged 5 and under must always be within reach of the person accompanying them.

Lane swimming

Two lanes are set up from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM to allow for length swimming.

Reservations for School Groups, Daycares, and Day Camps

School groups, daycares, and day camps must submit requests to reserve pool time.

Please contact us for more information.

Crowds and heatwaves

During periods of high attendance and heatwaves, entry may be limited to 45 minutes at a time.

The lane swimming schedule may also be affected.

Aquatic activities

Stay active by enjoying the aquatic activities offered at our facilities. The course catalog is available online via Loisirs Montréal.

Please note that when you create an account on montreal.ca, you must have a valid library card or recreation card.

Additionally, it is important to note that anyone wishing to register for an aquatic activity must have a valid library card or leisure card, including children.

We also offer private swimming lessons. To request them, we invite you to fill out this form. Requests are listed on a waiting list and processed in order of arrival.

Accessories and equipment Loan

It is possible to bring accessories on site (water toys, etc.), but their use remains at the discretion of the pool staff depending on the size of the objects and the crowd in the pool.

Depending on the available inventory on site, we lend:

  • In the shallow water swimming area: Life jackets
  • In the swimming lanes: Pull-buoys & kickboards (in exchange for an ID)

Diving boards

One to two diving boards are accessible at all times, except when water quality does not permit.

Lifeguard training and recruitment

Would you like to become a lifeguard in Le Plateau-Mont-Royal but don't know where to start or how to go about it? Follow the guide (available in French only at the time)!

Please note that, thanks to financial support from the Quebec government, the borough offers lifeguard and teaching training from the Lifesaving Society for free.
