Through the municipal libraries’ “Borrow a Museum” program, you can visit exhibits at 7 Montréal museums free of charge. All you need is a library card to get your pass.
Description
How to borrow a pass
The pass can be reserved online via the Nelligan catalog and borrowed at a self-service lending station or at the circulation desk in the library. It can be picked up and returned at any library.

Terms and conditions
The pass must be presented at the museum reception desk.
Here are the specific details about each pass:
- Écomusée du fier monde: 2 people ages 13 and up, and 2 people ages 12 and under.
- Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal: 2 people ages 18 and over. Admission is free for people ages 17 and under.
- McCord Stewart Museum: 2 people ages 13 and over. Admission is free for children ages 12 and under.
- MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises: 2 people ages 18 and over and 3 people ages 17 and under. Admission is free for children 12 and under.
- MUMAQ - Musée des métiers d’art du Québec: 2 people ages 18 and over. Free admission for people ages 5 and under.
- Musée des Hospitalières de l’Hôtel-Dieu de Montréal: 2 people ages 18 and over and 2 people ages 17 and under or 1 person aged 18 and over and 3 people aged 17 and under. Admission is free for children ages 5 and under. The pass gives you access to all the museum’s exhibitions, but not to the program of arts and culture activities.
- Musée des ondes Emile Berliner: 2 people ages 18 and over and 4 people ages 17 and under. Admission is free for children ages 6 and under.
Loan and renewal
- Loan period is 3 weeks
- Use is unlimited during the loan period
- Only 1 pass may be borrowed at a time per card
- Your loan can be renewed a maximum of 3 times
