Description
Social and poetic in nature, the theme developed refers to the interweaving of the human and the natural. In her compositions, the artist lets appear what does not appear, of the order of visual interlacing, real and imaginary.
Artist’s biography
Manon Pelletier was born in 1953 in Lachine, where she still lives and works. In 1983, she began a bachelor’s degree in plastic arts, and in 1993 completed a master’s degree in visual arts at UQÀM. Since then, she has had more than a hundred exhibitions, as well as a number of public artworks. Her works can be found in private and public collections. She is a recipient of grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Ministère de la Culture du Québec, and the Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC).
