Ask for your water service line to be screened for lead
Would you like to know if your building has a lead water service line? Find out how to ask the city to perform screening.
A massive screening campaign for lead water service lines is underway across the city with a view to planning replacements.
This annual program takes place from June to October. Affected residents receive a notice letting them know that the city will be coming to their home to test the water.
If you live in a building that is likely to have a lead water service line, you can ask for a home screening without waiting for the city’s notice.
Conditions
To have your water screened for lead by the city, your building must meet both of the following criteria:
- Have eight dwellings or fewer
- Have been built before 1970
Procedure
In order for your request to be reviewed, you must complete the form below and submit it by e-mail or postal mail.
When the city receives your form, you will be contacted to plan a test at your home.
