Graffiti removal program
We have implemented a free program to remove graffiti from certain surfaces. Depending on the type of surface, we will clean or mask (paint over) the graffiti.
We do not remove graffiti between November 30 and April 1
The program is suspended until spring.
Who can apply for graffiti removal
You can apply for free graffiti removal if you are a building owner or represent a building owner.
Eligible graffiti
Only graffiti that is visible from the street is eligible from the program. As an exceptional measure, graffiti on landscaped back lanes, such as green lanes, may be eligible.
Locating graffiti
Locating graffiti is the first step of the program. When you report graffiti, give as many details as you can. The more detailed your description is, the easier it will be to locate the graffiti, plan removal and perform the work quickly. If possible, attach a photo of the graffiti.
Registration period and form
The registration period for the program begins in the spring.
To remove graffiti from a building (walls, doors, windows, gates, etc.) complete the form that is made available during the registration period and submit it by e-mail.
By submitting your form, you consent to our teams or a specialized contractor coming to your building and removing the graffiti. For this reason, only applications with a completed form will be processed.
Withdrawing consent
If you would like to withdraw your consent, you can do so by e-mail. Please provide your name, the address of the building and explain why you want to withdraw consent.
Repeat offenders
For any recurrence of graffiti on the same building, in the same year, just e-mail us photos, specifying the address of the building.
Conditions
Graffiti is removed free of charge by a contractor selected by the borough.
The contractor is not under any obligation to guarantee a particular result. Removal work may leave traces, marks or other alterations to surfaces. The contractor chooses the removal method.
