Black History Month 2025 in LaSalle
As part of the 34th edition of Black History Month, the borough of LaSalle and its partner organizations are offering activities to honor the exceptional contribution of Black communities to Quebec society.
The Black community of LaSalle plays a crucial role in the social and cultural fabric of our borough. Through various activities such as art exhibitions, conferences, film screenings, and performances, we pay tribute to those who have marked our history and continue to influence our future.

Gala: célébrons la richesse et la diversité des communautés noires de LaSalle | Sunday, February 23, 2025, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This event celebrates the remarkable achievements of members of the Black community, selected by the three partner organizations. The evening will be a true showcase of the cultural richness and talents of the Black community, with various artistic performances, ranging from music to dance, and including poetic recitations. Honorary guests from the Black community will share their inspiring experiences and exceptional journeys. Refreshments will be served throughout the evening, providing opportunities for socializing and exchanges.

Vernissage | Wednesday, February 26, 2025, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Join us for an artistic evening where music, dance, and spoken word will blend to create a unique and immersive atmosphere. This opening night will highlight the talents of the Black community and offer a platform for local artists to express themselves. Come discover captivating performances and interact with the artists in a friendly atmosphere, celebrating the diversity and creativity of LaSalle’s Black community.

Colloque de la diversité jeunesse | Friday, February 28, 2025, 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
This symposium is a unique opportunity for young people from diverse backgrounds, particularly those from the Black community, to come together and participate in educational, fun, and enriching activities. Participants will have the opportunity to express themselves freely during workshops on the following themes:

- Career Exploration
