Call for Projects for Summer Exhibitions at L'Entrepôt

Last updated December 19, 2023

For next summer, L’Entrepôt, maison de la culture de Lachine, would like to welcome two exhibition projects by artists from its community. This is a great opportunity for amateur artists and recognized organizations involved in amateur or semi-professional artistic practice to submit a project.

Presentation

In line with Lachine’s cultural development plan, the Borough wishes to promote access to culture, enrich cultural experience on its territory and democratize amateur and semi-professional artistic practice. Many amateur artists live in our neighbourhoods, where exhibition spaces are limited, not to mention the amateur visual artists registered with cultural leisure organizations.

In 2024, the two exhibition periods for this call for projects are scheduled from July 12 to August 4 and from August 9 to September 1.

Support

The maison de la culture team offers professional technical support for the installation and promotion of the exhibition using the Borough’s communication tools. Transportation of works is at the artist’s or organization’s own expense.

At the same time, the Borough wishes to encourage Lachine residents to participate in experimentation and creative activities related to these exhibitions. Financial support of $1500 per exhibition will be offered to cover the costs of activities and materials.

Eligibility
