Get or renew a library card
Would you like to borrow a book, digital book, movie or music in one of Montréal’s libraries? Library cards are offered free of charge to residents and are valid for two years. Here’s how to obtain or renew your card.
Library cards give you access to a number of services.
Card holders can:

- enjoy activities and educational opportunities
Your library card also gives you access to the French-language Loisirs Montréal online service. You can reserve sports centres and register your family for activities or day camps.
