Apply for a RénoPlex Component 4 grant (mixed-use buildings)

Are you the owner of a mixed-use building with 1 to 5 dwelling units? Would you like to apply for a grant through the Rénoplex program? Find out how to apply.

The non-residential area of the building must represent no more than 50 per cent. For the non-residential portion of the building, only work on the foundation, envelope, roof and plumbing is eligible.

Amount of the grant

To apply for a grant, you must apply for at least $3,000 in subsidies. 
The grant must not represent more than 50 per cent of the actual cost of eligible work.

You will need to know the details of the work you want to complete prior to filling out the application form. For example, for foundation stabilization work, you will have to specify the number of piles to be installed.

The maximum grant is $20,000 for a building with 1 dwelling unit and $40,000 for a building with 2 to 5 dwelling units.

Required Documents

You must attach the following documents to your application:

  • Location certificate
  • Proof of ownership or a purchase offer that has been accepted
  • Photos that give a full view of each facade or indoor elements that are part of the eligible work for which you are applying
  • The extract for your building from the property assessment roll

Representatives

If you are applying on behalf of the building’s owner(s), you must have the owner(s) complete a power of representation form (in French).

Divided co-ownership

The application must include a resolution by the board of directors (in French) authorizing the application and designating the person responsible for the project.
