Apply for a RénoPlex Component 5 grant (flood-resilient building)
Are you the owner of a building with 1 to 5 units and looking to apply for a grant to make it more flood-resilient during heavy rains? Here’s how to submit an application.
Amount of the grant
To apply for a grant, you must apply for at least $500 in subsidies.
The grant must not represent more than 50 per cent of the actual cost of eligible work.
You will need to know the details of the work you want to complete prior to filling out the application form.. For example, for a green roof, you will need to specify the area in square meters to be installed.
Check the amounts granted by type of work. Only the work in block 3 is eligible for this section.
The maximum grant is $20,000 for a building with 1 unit and $30,000 for a building with 2 to 5 units.
Required documents
You must attach the following documents to your application:
- Location certificate
- Proof of ownership or a purchase offer that has been accepted
- Photos that give a full view of each facade or indoor elements that are part of the eligible work for which you are applying
- The extract for your building from the property assessment roll.
Representatives
If you are applying on behalf of the building’s owner(s), you must have the owner(s) complete a power of attorney form.
