What is the court ledger?
The court ledger, called “le plumitif” in French, is a digital registry of public court records through which the history of various civil, criminal and penal court cases can be accessed.
The court ledger contains the following information:
- Names of the parties
- Case numbers
- Contact information
- Dates
- Decisions
Montréal parking and road safety cases are not available through this service. Please visit a municipal court point of service to consult those records.
Consult a court record
Use the Société québécoise d’information juridique (SOQUIJ) Web site to consult online public records in the court ledgers of Québec’s courthouses and municipal courts.
This fee-based service is reserved for professionals.
