The online service for hearing rolls gives you access to municipal court hearing schedules. The information shown is publicly available and updated on a regular basis.

Hearing in connection with penal matters

Attendance at the hearing

You must go in person to the municipal court on the day of your hearing, or a default judgment could be rendered against you. If you are represented by a lawyer, you can check with them to make sure your presence is required.

Request for a postponement

If you are unable to attend your hearing on the scheduled date, you can file a request to have it postponed.

Hearing in connection with criminal matters

Attendance at the hearing

You are required to go in person to the municipal court on the day of your hearing, or an arrest warrant could be issued against you. If you are represented by a lawyer, you check with them to make sure your presence is required.

Proceedings in virtual mode

Some proceedings can be held virtually, notably participation in certain hearings or evidence by video-link. The municipal court uses the Teams application for these purposes.

Lawyers can also reserve a videoconference room to meet with a client detained at an SPVM detention centre. This service is free of charge, and reservations must be made online.

Accessing a courtroom through Teams 

This service is currently accessible for certain hearing in rooms R.10, R.20, R.30, R.40, 1.50 and 1.60 :

  • Appearance - without guilty plea
  • Pro forma - without guilty plea 
  • Application for postponement, application to cease representing
  • Any other request that has been authorized in advance by the hearing judge

Virtual negotiation chamber

Pilot project: June 22 to August 28, 2026

During the pilot project, the defense may negotiate cases on the docket for chambers R.30 and R.40 without being physically present by accessing the virtual negotiation chamber.
