Montréal announces a new subsidy program for the renovation of residential properties with 1 to 5 dwellings. Named RénoPlex, this program will be offered as of February 1, 2021, in all boroughs.
The RénoPlex program offers financial support for work to maintain a property in good condition, reduce greenhouse gases, fight urban heat islands and protect the property against heavy rainfall.
Owners of properties with 1 to 5 dwellings, as well as co-operatives and not-for-profit housing organizations (OBNLs) managing this kind of property, are eligible.
The maximum subsidy is $20,000 for a single-family house and $40,000 for a property with two or more dwellings.
This program replaces the Renovation à la carte and the Stabilization of Residential Building Foundations programs. Any application submitted by January 31, 2021, for one of these programs will be assessed according to their criteria.
