Sainte-Catherine Ouest project: Work in progress and news
The Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest project includes major work for the replacement of underground infrastructures that are over a century old and are obsolete, as well as for the reconfiguration of public areas. The project is in Phase 2 of its realization, with work beginning during the Summer of 2023.
How to get informed
Notice of construction work
Ongoing work may impact your daily activities. Read the notices in effect in order to help us improve how we share the space near the worksites.
Print copies of the notices will also be handed out at the entrances of buildings located in the vicinity of the worksites. To receive notices by email, sign up here (In french only)!
Traffic and commercial delivery map
Traffic detours and commercial delivery areas are planned in an effort to reduce the impact of construction work. A map is updated regularly for the duration of work as part of the Sainte-Catherine Ouest project.
Work schedule
Phase 1
Work for the reconfiguration of Rue Sainte-Catherine, between Rue De Bleury and Rue Mansfield (Lots 1A and 1B) as well as Square Phillips and Avenue Union (Lot 2D) has been completed.
- Place du Frère-André and adjacent streets - starting in 2025.
Phase 2
Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest
- Between Rue Mansfield and Rue Peel (Lot 1A) - August 7, 2023 to autumn 2025
- Between Rue Peel and Rue Bishop (Lot 1B) - starting in 2025
- Between Rue Bishop and Rue Saint-Marc (Lot 2) - starting in 2025
- Between Rue Saint-Marc and Avenue Atwater (Lot 3) - to be confirmed.
