Report an animal that is injured or in danger

If you find a pet or a wild animal that is injured, or if you see that an animal is being abused or is in danger, here is how to report it.

If you see an animal that is injured or in danger, you may report it by telephone. Avoid approaching it or touching it with your bare hands.

Different teams can take action, depending on the animal species.

Monday to Friday: from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Report an injured a raccoon, skunk, fox, coyote, wild turkey, deer or bird of prey at 1 877 346-6763.

Outside of office hours, contact S.O.S braconnage at 1-800-463-2191.

Report an injured wild bird

Contact Le Nichoir at 450-458-2809.

Report a pet or another wild animal that is injured or an act of cruelty towards an animal

Contact the SPCA: 514-735-2711, extension 0 (seven days a week, 24 hours a day)

Report an animal suffocating inside a vehicle

Contact 911.

Things to know

If you see a young wild animal or a baby bird that has been abandoned, it is best not to intervene unless it is in a dangerous place.
