The Direction générale (City manager’s office) oversees the city’s municipal services and plays a leading role in government and international relations, coordination of projects and programs.
Mission
Montréal’s Direction générale (city manager’s office), which is under the authority of the city’s executive committee, manages all of Montréal’s administrative activities, sets action priorities, supports the decision-making process of political parties and implements their decisions.

- Service des ressources humaines et des communications
- Service de la planification stratégique et de la performance organisationnelle
- Bureau du contrôleur général
- Bureau des relations gouvernementales et municipales
- Bureau de la commissaire à la lutte au racisme et aux discriminations systémiques
- Commissaire à la langue française
