The Direction générale (City manager’s office) oversees the city’s municipal services and plays a leading role in government and international relations, coordination of projects and programs.
Mission
Montréal’s Direction générale (city manager’s office), which is under the authority of the city’s executive committee, manages all of Montréal’s administrative activities, sets action priorities, supports the decision-making process of political parties and implements their decisions
Priority actions in 2023
- Continue the implementation of theMontréal 2030 strategic plan
- Undertake a review of the city’s programs and activities to ensure they are aligned with this strategic plan
- Continue the city manager’s tour of administrative units as well as regular and effective communication with all city staff

- Bureau des relations gouvernementales et municipales
