A drop-off zone will not be authorized if access facilities already exist less than 12 metres away from the main entrance to the building:
- a sidewalk ramp
- a standpipe
- an area where parking is prohibited

You can ask for a loading zone to be created near your home, workplace or any destination that disabled people visit on a regular basis.
However, the request will be refused if access facilities already exist within 12 metres of the main access to the building, such as a drop-off or curb ramp.
Requests to create loading zones will also be refused if, at the desired location, there is already:
- A fire hydrant
- A no-parking zone
