Truck and moving equipment
You do not need a permit if:
- you do not plan to occupy the public domain for more than one day.
- you use legal parking spaces that are free of charge, without preventing other motorists from parking. However, you can come to an agreement with your neighbours to leave the space accessible to a moving truck.
A permit is required if:
- the public property will be occupied for more than one day, in all cases.
Rates
The minimum charge is $60 (including taxes).

- You will receive two separate invoices, one for installation and one for lost parking revenue.
You will receive your permit 24 hours before use of the space starts.

This permit is free of charge.
Procedure

- Fees are automatically billed by our system.
- The fees are then cancelled when your permit is issued. You receive an e-mail notifying you that your application has been cancelled.
- You receive an e-mail with your permit attached. You receive, free of charge, a valid permit to temporarily occupy public property for purposes of parking a moving truck.

- You will then hear from our team
- Contact Sécurité publique at 514 495-6241 when the moving truck arrives (not before) and when the truck leaves.
