- Maximum volume by address: 5 m3 (176 ft3). In excess of this amount, you must hire a private contractor.
- Maximum volume by object (except for household appliances): 1 m3 (35,3 ft3).
- Maximum weight per box or container: 25 kg (55 lb).
- Put out items in a way that does not compromise anyone’s safety.
- For safety reasons, remove the doors of washers and dryers.
- For safety reasons, remove all nails, screws and other sharp metal parts.
- For safety reasons, break glass items and mirrors into pieces and place them in safe, disposable containers (plastic or cardboard boxes that are in good condition, sturdy plastic bags).
- For safety reasons, avoid using cardboard boxes when it’s raining (the cardboard gets soggy and falls apart, causing the contents to fall out).
- Avoid taking out bulky objects and garbage when a snow removal operation is planned, as they can impede operations.
- Attach planks of wood in bundles that are no longer than 1 m (3.3 ft) long and with a diameter no greater than 50 cm (20 in).

Excess CRD debris
Do you have more than 5 m3 of construction debris? Here are your options:
1. Put debris in the dumpster at the municipal garage yard free of charge, twice a year and per address maximum. Past those limits, the cost is $25 for the first m3 and $10 for each additional m3.
2. Call 311 to request a special paid home pickup: Minimum $125 for the first m3 and $40 for each additional m3.
3. Call a private contractor.

- Vehicle batteries
The seller of your new appliance may offer a pickup of your old appliance. Otherwise, you can take it to the ecocentre, making sure to handle it carefully so that there is no risk of breaking a pipe and releasing toxic gas into the atmosphere.
Acceptable containers
- Cardboard boxes of maximum de 1.5 m (4.9 ft) long, weighing no more than 25 kg when filled.
- Garbage cans equipped with handles and a cover, of maximum 150 litres, weighing no more than 25 kg when filled.
