Action Plan for an Efficient Network

The objective of the Action Plan for an Efficient Network is to improve the city’s business environment by promoting the growth of businesses and facilitating their adaptation to technological changes and new business models.

This plan is part of the 2018-2022 Economic Development Strategy. It includes two segments.

  1. Business services
  2. Creation of strategic partnerships

Segment 1: Business services 

The objective is to consolidate the activities of the PME MTL network by improving the support and financing offered to businesses.

Budget

  • $115.4 million
  • Over four years

Areas of implementation 

  1. Consolidate the PME MTL network and improve support and guidance for entrepreneurs, with an objective of 120 experts.
  2. Provide funding adapted to business development needs.
  3. Support capacity-building and talent development.
  4. Optimize the business development process, notably through awareness raising and training for municipal stakeholders.

These four areas include 30 actions.

Segment 2: Strategic partnerships

This segment is aimed at stimulating synergy among the various players in the entrepreneurial ecosystem by actively supporting the establishment of strategic partnerships.

  • $32.4 million
  • Over four years

Area of implementation

Reinforce Montréal’s economic development ecosystem in order to promote the creation of strong and productive partnerships.

This area includes 12 actions.
