Reserve an outdoor tennis court
Interested in playing some tennis in the days to come? Want to make sure a court is available when you get there? Learn what you need to know to reserve an outdoor tennis court.
To make a reservation in most tennis courts facilities, you must:
- Have a montreal.ca account or create one
- Hold a valid library card or recreation card
- Create an account on Loisirs Montréal (in French) and link your library or recreation card to your account
- Reserve a field online

Outdoor courts with access free of charge and no reservations
You can reserve a court online (48 hours in advance) or by phone (24 hours in advance).
- Each reservation entitles the holder to a maximum 1 hour of court time.
- Reserved hours are payable at least 10 minutes before the reserved time, or the reservation is cancelled.
- Payment for reservations will not be accepted more than one hour before the reserved court time (Interac debit card only).
- Reservations not confirmed 10 minutes before the reserved time will be offered to players on the waiting list, based on their position.
- No reimbursements will be issued and only rescheduling is permitted.

A deposit of $20 per summer period is required.

With your Montréal recreation card in hand, once your Loisirs Montréal registration is completed, go to the Centre communautaire intergénérationnel (CCI) to have a pictogram added to your card.
If you do not have a recreation card, or if you need to renew it, you may also do so at the CCI.
Reserving a court
Membership required for certain parks
A membership is required to play on the fields at Parc Saint-Viateur, Parc Joyce and Parc F.-X.-Garneau.
There is no fee to reserve a court, but you must provide proof of membership or your day pass.
Open access
Court access is on a first-come, firts-served basis at certain times during the week, while at other times, courts must be reserved.
- Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Mandatory reservation
- Monday to Friday, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Instructions
- You may reserve a court for a maximum of 1 hour per day (and per person).
- You may reserve it 48 hours prior to your reservation date.
- Once at the court, you must show your member card or daily access coupon (one coupon per person, per day).
- Daily access: you may purchase coupons at the CCI front desk.
- All sessions begin on time. If you do not show up within 10 minutes of your reserved time, the court may be attributed to another user.
Cancelling a reservation
You may cancel your reservation online, by phone or in person, so that somebody else can use it.

- It is mandatory to hold a season pass to reserve a court.

- Each reservation is valid for 1 hour of play on a court.
- The person who made the reservation must be present at the field, in addition to having proof of reservation and identification.
- The reservation must be cancelled if the person is unable to attend. This frees up the tennis court for another person.
- Cancellation of the reservation is done online in the profile section on Loisirs Montréal. Technical support is available by phone or in person at the Marcel-Giroux and Elgar community centers.
- If a reserved court is not used after 15 minutes, the holder of the reservation loses possession of the court and another player may use it for the remaining time.
